OOC: It’s Time for Me to Move On
I won’t be using this RP account, anymore. I probably won’t delete it, but I won’t be on it, either. It was fun for a while, and I thank every last one of you who made it so. Balder, Fandral, bb, Jubes, Xarus, Hercules… I will miss interacting with you guys, but it’s time to move on. I’ve been miserable with a lot of things for months now, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m only sticking around because I’m afraid of change. Well, it’s time for change. Before the bad starts to overshadow the good in my memories.
Hopefully we’ll meet again some time, on other accounts or other fandoms. But Hoder Odinson has breathed his last.
brotherofbalder asked:
Ah, smart to bring Hela here. To the very place Balder is kept. [He raises a brow, eyeing him.]
[He glances sideways at Fandral, then rubs the back of his neck in agitation.]
You’re right, of course.
[He heaves a sigh.]
Looks like I’ll be paying a visit to dear old dad, then. I’ve never asked the man a favor in my life, never knew I had reason to. May as well make the first a hefty one.
brotherofbalder asked:
[He sets down the now empty bottle with a heavy clunk. He is too troubled with thoughts to be drunk enough to forget them, though, which is a displeasing fact.]
Does not hurt to try, if you have more than one. Does he not wish to be recieved int the halls we all so strive for? [He shakes his head.] Balder the Brave and yet Balder does not vie for the greatest honor there is. He must truly love that evil creature indeed.
[Hoder frowns, wishing he had brought more alcohol with him. He’s sure Fandral has some stashed away somewhere, but it would be rude to ask.]
‘Tis no small feat to be granted an audience with Hela. I am certain Idunn only achieved it thanks to her friendship with Loki. That is not an asset I possess.
…Perhaps bring the matter to Balder? Or perhaps even Thor…or even….Odin? [He says Odin’s name on a crack of his voice, wincing.] I will help, if it is of such importance to you, of course.
Balder would only dissuade me or take the matter to Loki. I suppose Odin has experience with these matters but…
[He already has a veritable list of things he would ask his birth father, and this does not even make the top ten. He doubts he will get that far.]
Thor is still Allfather. And King. Perhaps he could arrange a meeting between monarchs.

So you can put words in my mouth, no doubt. If the old bastard truly is returned, I have quite a few things to say to him, and I sha’nt have you stopping me.
No! I just want to be nearby, in case something goes awry! I will not say a damned thing if you do not wish me to! I-I just want you to be safe is all.
Don’t worry, Brother. You shall know when I seek him from all the screaming.
So now I need my brother’s permission to speak to my father? And what does the King have to say about all of this?
[He did not know why Idunn had disobeyed, but he rather doubted it was for his sake. He had been dead at the time—he’d hardly cared. Still, he did not wish to speak of her.]
Not permission, I would just…I would simply like to know. I would be nearby, if you would speak to him. Just in case.
So you can put words in my mouth, no doubt. If the old bastard truly is returned, I have quite a few things to say to him, and I sha’nt have you stopping me.
Ah. So this is Loki’s fault. Why am I not surprised? I suppose I can take consolation in the fact that for once the results of his schemes shall make him as miserable as the rest of us.
In any case, I can’t see why Odin would object. He’s not the one who killed me, after all.
Yes, well…should you choose to speak to Odin, please let me know, first? I want to be careful where you are concerned. Do not forget that it was he who forbade Idunn to give you a proper burial—an order she disobeyed, for your sake.
Odin holds many grudges; I do not want to risk my brother’s life in this.

Odin.
[He goes stock still, mouth set in a grim line, before exploding into nervous motion.]
Does nobody stay dead around here?
I imagine not…apparently he was released with Surtur, though I do not know why it took so long for him to appear. Loki and Thor found him in the tombs…
Listen, I know you are angry with me right now, but I came to warn you because I do not know how he will take to your resurrection. Your decisions are your own, but…a word of caution is all I offer.

thirdsonofasgard replied to your post: H-Hoder?
May I speak with you concerning something of grave importance? You’re not going to quit until I talk to you, are you?
It is another matter I speak of.
I hope you’re lying, again. There cannot be so many urgent matters in so short a span of time.
I am not a liar, Hoder. I am sorry if it has seemed like such in recent days.
I…I came to inform you of Odin’s…return.
Odin.
